Why an operator built the software
Zalio didn't start as a product. It started as an internal project to solve a problem Zack Leaudais had in his own business: more than ten separate tools running a single gym, none of which talked to each other, and none of which ever turned their data into something the team could actually act on.
Every gym operator knows the shape of it. The membership system knows who's lapsing. The billing system knows who's failed a payment. The lead form knows who enquired and never got called back. Between them, nobody is told to do anything about it, so it lands on whoever happens to be at the front desk that morning.
Twenty conversations that changed the plan
After speaking with more than twenty other gym owners, it became obvious the problem wasn't Momentum's. The same fragmented stack, the same admin shift eating the owner's week, the same reporting that describes what already went wrong instead of preventing it.
That turned an internal tool into a company. Zalio is one platform that genuinely combines the stack — not another empty all-in-one claim — with an AI employee that takes the admin shift off the owner's plate.
What he's building now
Zalio is currently in its founding-partner phase, working with a small group of gym owners who help shape what gets built first. Zack Leaudais is also behind GymFactories, a directory connecting gym owners with equipment manufacturers and fit-out suppliers, and continues to co-own and operate Momentum Health + Fitness — which remains the place every Zalio feature gets tested before anyone else sees it.
